Closest airport: The closest major airport to Inverness is Tampa, FL (TPA) . Orlando is not that much further and there is a tollway that gets you real close to the town.
Show Hours: Check-in Saturday will be 7:30-8:30. Judging will begin promptly at 9:15 AM on Saturday. Check-in on Sunday will be from 8 AM to 8:30 AM and show hours will be 9 AM to 6 PM Saturday and 9 AM to 1 PM on Sunday. Advertised show hours for the public are 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday and 9-1 0n Sunday. All cats must remain in the show hall during advertised show hours unless permission to leave is given by show management. No cats may be left overnight in the show hall.
Set up: 1-4 on Friday
Payments: Payment is due at the same time the on-line entries are made according to TICA rule: 24.3 Each entry shall be accompanied by the published fee. Please submit Paypal payments to email@example.com. If you are mailing acheck please make it out to Nature Coast Cat Club and mail to PO Box 1853, Inverness, FL 34451-1853. Check payments MUST be either received or postmarked before the EB expiration date or the amount due will increase to regular rates. Insufficient or bad checks will result in a $45 service fee.
Registration: With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first show. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional / International awards, all cats must be registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551).
Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information & forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website at www.tica.org.
Accessibility/Benching: Florida Army National Guard is handicap accessible. End of Row Handicap benching requests will result in being closer to only one end of judging rings. One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 24"L X 22"W X 22 H". You must pay extra with a single entry to have the full (double) cage. The two sides, back, and top must be covered. For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for the bottom of the cage too!
Grooming/Exhibition Only/Sales Cages: Same size as two singles, or one double 48"L X 22" W X 22" High. Sales cages available to paid exhibitors only. TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age), and no kittens or cats may be confined to carriers during show hours.
Services: Litter will be available. Please bring your own litter pans, cat food, and bowls.
Food: There will be a pre-paid/reservation Christmas style lunch served on Saturday, $8.00 for reserved lunches only, not available at show without reservation. . Please prepay when submitting entry fees. There will be two choices or meat, (Cranberry Walnut Stuffed Pork Loin or Catalina Chicken at least 2 sides, (Bourbon Carrots) bread, soft drink and dessert. Health: This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or other illness will be escorted from along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and panleukopenia, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any feline from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within twenty-one days prior to the opening day of the show is ineligible for entry. An obviously pregnant or lactating cat will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging
Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. Kittens may be spayed or neutered.State of Florida requires all kittens over 4 months be vaccinated against rabies, be prepared to show proof.
Household Pets: Your pet can come and compete too! Household pets are encouraged at this show! Household pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, email the entry clerk a color photo of your entry.
CLERKS: If interested in clerking at the show, please contact the entry clerk. Our clerks will be paid $__ per session and provided lunch & a marked catalog (via e-mail only). Requests for specific judges and benching close by will be considered; however, all assignments are at the discretion of show management. Clerks must pay all entry fees as required by all exhibitors unless approved by club president, Terri Harris. and may not deduct anticipated clerk payment from entry fees. Ring Clerks and stewards will be compensated daily. Certified ring clerks will be paid $__ per ring and stewards, not volunteering through their school or for community service hours, will be paid $__ per ring.
